Two years ago, right after I turned 40 I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. Between the pelvic radiation and a complete hysterectomy that was advised as preventative, not to mention the radical surgery removing the cancer that didn’t heal for 6 months. After it was all said and done I was alive but I wasn’t happy. I was depressed trying to accept my new self. .
